Checkout lines (actually me for a change)
Idle question:

I've noticed, in my numerous dealings with checkout lines (cashier lines to those of you confusing this with spanish men ogling women from the walls of their crap little discoteques), that men always have their money in hand -- ready to pay the cashier as their goods are being electronically scanned for cost. Women, on the other hand, go through this painfully long production of reaching into their purse, fumbling around for hours until they come across their wallet, slowly withdrawing the thing, and then getting caught up in a glazed stupor about the contents of therein. This is inevitably LONG after all their purchased goods have fallen into the tray and are ready for bagging. Older women; you can be gauranteed your linguini has long since expired and you beef is grazing on the lettuce by the time you get your turn to cash out.

What is up with that?
